Hoogendorn Holly is a low-growing, densely branched evergreen shrub with flattened dark green leaves reminiscent of boxwood.  As it is a male plant it does not produce berries but acts as a pollinizer.  Best planted in moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.  Hollies are dioecious and need both male and female plants to produce fruit.
