Aspidistra elatior 'Milky Way' ~ Milky Way Cast Iron Plant

Milky Way Cast Iron Plant is a hardy, slow-growing dwarf evergreen perennial with an upright habit that can tolerate a variety of conditions.  The thick and broad dark green lance-like leaves have noticeable white speckling.  Grows best when given part shade and well-drained soils.  Very drought tolerant once established. 

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low Maintenance.  Water regularly.  Keep out of the full sun to prevent leaf bleaching and flopping. Direct contact with strong winds while still young may cause plants to uproot, use of a barrier in highly windy areas may be needed until established.  

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Rock Gardens, and Containers.

COMPANION PLANTS: Japanese Painted Fern, Bottlebrush, Catmint
