Hot Wings Tartarian Maple is a small upright branching deciduous tree with a broad rounded crown. The medium green foliage turns a stunning mix of red-orange on the outer leaves and bright yellow in the inner leaves in fall. Inconspicuous spring flowers are followed by showy brilliant red samaras that persist all summer. Grows best in full sun and slightly acidic, moist well-drained soils. Hot Wings has stronger branch structure and improved tolerance for alkaline soils.
