Florida Flame Red Maple is a native deciduous tree with upright branching forming a rounded crown known for its red color in both spring and fall. 

The foliage is a rich green that emerges bright red and after an attractive transition returns to bright red in fall.   A inconspicuous bloom of flowers in spring attract bees, and are followed by papery seedpods.

Florida Flame is rather adaptable but grows best in rich and moist well-drained soils.
